A tax clearance certificate is not required when you reinstate within two years of revocation. It is required when reinstatement is more than two years after revocation. That rule has been in effect since July 9, 2020. The for-profit corporation reinstatement fee of $95 already includes a $20 tax clearance filing. Foreign corporations pay a separate $25 tax clearance fee to the Division of Taxation.

Two consecutive missed years are what void the charter.
